TEDxUCL would not have been possible without the generous support from our partners. Our partners share the same vision as TEDxUCL of being outward looking, innovative and passionate about spreading ideas. We are very happy to be working with the following partners :
UCL Engineering, the faculty that changes the world .
UCL Engineering continues to support the Enterprise Society in bringing high quality events to the student population. Without their incredible support, TEDxUCL would not be taking place.
The faculty provides research and teaching that turn fundamental scientific discoveries into things the world’s never seen before. The faculty encompasses nine departments, covering a wide variety of topics:
- Biochemical Engineering
- Chemical Engineering
- Civil, Environmental and Geomatic Engineering
- Computer Science
- Electronic and Electrical Engineering
- Management Science and Innovation
- Mechanical Engineering
- Medical Physics and Bioengineering
- Security and Crime Science
UCL Engineering educates an incredibly diverse range of students, with two thirds of all UCL students on overseas exchanges in the faculty. With teaching programmes that are focused on subjects that have the biggest impact on the world around us, and research projects ranging from regenerative medicine to sign language and fuel cell technologies, it is little wonder that the faculty is so capable of producing the solutions that the world needs.

To help support and commercialise UCL research for the benefit of humankind in its widest sense.
For the second year in a row, UCL Business is generously supporting the Enterprise Society in holding the prestigious TEDxUCL event on the Bloomsbury campus. Thanks to their support, last year’s event was an enormous success. We have no doubt that given their continued involvement, this year’s series of talks will be no less enjoyable, astounding and inspirational.

UCL Enterprise Society
UCL Enterprise Society provides a vibrant, collective and fun community to suit the needs of the diverse and international student body. The Enterprise Society offers students an opportunity to explore a variety of entrepreneurial themes and a link to important networks that involve alumni and the wider community. The society also provides important leadership opportunities within the school community. Society leaders and active members will devote time and energies in a way that visibly enhances the awareness and experience of students at UCL.
The aim of the society is to greatly reduce the gap between academia and industry by providing an exchange forum for members from both sides. Through this network we help to support the generation of entrepreneurial ideas and to provide insight into how they can be transformed into vehicles for viable and progressive businesses. At the forefront of our activities are our conferences which will highlight a selection of innovative, diverse, and intelligent business leaders.

We apply theories and methods from, among others, organisational behaviour, strategic management, operations research and managerial economics. Our research is interdisciplinary in nature, and we collaborate intensely with other UCL departments, including life and biomedical sciences, biochemical engineering, psychology, statistics and economics. We are also heavily engaged with the end users of our research, in industry, consulting and finance.
We offer BSc and MSc degrees in management, technology entrepreneurship, and information management for business, as well as executive education courses in project management, and a PhD programme in Management Science and Innovation.
